Johnass International College of Health Sciences
Johnass International College of Health Sciences (JICHS) is a private health training Institution founded in 2014 to strengthen and contribute to Uganda’s health workforce by providing competency-based, affordable, and world of work aligned education and training in key health disciplines.
In the current TVET Policies and legal frameworks, JICHS is categorized as a Technical College under Section 31(3)(a) of The TVET Act 2025 and accredited as TVET Provider under Section 125 of the same Act.

However, initially while focusing on Nursing and Midwifery, the College will, from July 2026, expand its programmes to include Clinical Medicine and Community Health, Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Technology, Biomedical Engineering, and other Allied Health and Management Sciences disciplines.

Functions of the College
Provide full-time or part time programmes / courses of study and training in the field of Nursing and Midwifery, and Allied Health Professions;
Organize workshops, conferences, seminars and study groups within the mandate of the institute and its affiliate institutions;
Provide Community Based Health Services to the community;
Performing such other functions as may be advised by the Board of Trustees in line with the current national policies and legal framework.
